Had a couple of hours out today

36011 and 3606x on citi1

10875 on 21

22333 on citi2/3, was my bus home. It seemed lacking in power, more than usual, but then it did have a trainee driving.

Not unusual to get 1 MAN on citi 2/3 but we had 3 today all in Peterborough Bus Station at 10.00, 22329/331/and 333.

108xx seen on citi 5, 36 and 37.

Citi 4 has a diversion as Alderman's Drive is closed and the buses go further along Thorpe Road and up Westwood Park Road. Can't go down with the residents of these expensive houses.

Noticed that. P!us the 46 is being changed and thats currently only 2 journeys per day.

The 21 was an odd commercial decision. Unsure if Amazon provided information on where staff live but it could have been a little more of a success if it maybe started at Park Farm and routed via Cardea/ Hampton. There must be Amazon workers there? Or provide the early/ late service to/ from station.

Amazon subsidised it, they were unhappy with the timekeeping whilst slavecoach were saying nobody was using it

Aren't there some major long-term roadworks about to start in the city centre that are expected to cause major disruptions to services? (right after they finished the last set).  I'm sure I have seen some critical comment about something happening so soon after the last set finished.  Could be Stagecoach trying to pre-empt the expected delays to this.

I believe the changes are separate from King's Lynn closure issues and could be a tidying up of running times. There has been a lot of tinkering with individual timetables over recent years but nothing network-wide as far as I can recall

Was at Queensgate today and a trio of 3 Bretton buses came in at the same time. They were 22337, 22329 and 22336.

Very unusual having 3 old bangers on 1 route.

Also 34880 was serving the 21 but this may have been a replacement.

As Long Sutton is now an outstation of Peterborough, then vehicles will be changed every couple of days to allow maintenance to be carried out. As far as I am aware there will be no 'allocation' to Long Sutton, just a selection of vehicles allocated to Peterborough. This has already been proven by the number of Go-West Travel vehicles seen on Peterborough services.

The ex Norfolk Green 1005x E400s have a different destination system from the standard Stagecoach one and I believe these four vehicles only have the former King's Lynn destinations on them - there should be a standard Stagecoach display but it would be a case of hunting for it.

So Long Sutton doesn't have an allocation of buses then, the ones that are parked overnight are those that just happen to end up there after a day's work

Strange the 505 still come under Go West and not Cambus, with the on hire notices in and out of the windows

Yes the ex Stagecoach in Norfolk services are registered under Go West Travel but the website legal  saying Go West Travel is trading as Stagecoach in Peterborough.

Just got home on citi 3 which was being served by 10875. Driver change at Queensgate and the new driver asked the departing driver why he's got this bus. The driver stated that he was supposed to have the single decker with the crack in the screen but he refused to drive it.

For the last few weeks, there has been a steady increase in single deckers serving the Citi 1 routes with at least 3 a day being spotted.

Also there has been several instances of double deckers being used on the citi 2/3/4/5 routes.

X4 35224 worked the 11.05 from Peterborough followed by 15607 on the 11.35. The next service was an unidentified Gold e400.

34426 still showing Bedford Bus branding is active on citi services most days when I am around town.

Also, at least one of the batch of 19693-19697 (originally Peterborough, then KL and now Long Sutton) can be seen regularly
on any Peterborough services and one
day last week there were 3 of this batch on either citi or country services.

I feel sorry for Peterborough having to put up with 34426 (KV53EZC). It was the worst of the 53 reg darts at Bedford. The Engine sounded awful and It liked overheating and dumped its coolant on the A6 when on the 81 a couple of times

Sadly Bedford's standards have slipped in recent years. They used to be very good especially in the days of the Leyland Olympians. They used to keep them all looking and sounding very good. These days you see buses out of service for weeks on end and the depot having to get loans in from other depots

18420 was running the 2/3 route today. At 2pm it developed a problem where the bell light was not lighting up in the drivers cab, leading to several missed stops and a few irate passengers. A quick repair at paston centre and the problem was sorted within half hour.

10870 was running the Dogsthorpe/Cardea leg of the 5 route.

Stagecoach give an allowance for bus maintenance, so much a week or month, in other words there is a kitty, Kings Lynn used to suffer badly, think it was £1000 week or could have been a month, its easier to let them break down and let Charlie's collect them at the side of the road and do the repair themselves as it comes out of another pot

Its not so much a problem in Cambridge or Peterborough as most buses are relatively new, in the case of Kings Lynn and Bedford they are all knackered 2nd hand buses

34426, which has been operating from Peterborough following transfer last month from Bedford is registered to Go West Travel and is, therefore an allocated Long Sutton vehicle.

Former King’s Lynn Trident 18346 is confirmed as now being part of the Peterborough fleet, having previously been registered on the Go West Travel Listings

I'm not very clued up with the Peterborough fleet. But I would imagine those 04 plate Darts will be for the chop if and when Stagecoach East receive any Enviro 200MMC's which will be next year at the earliest as all the current order has been accounted for.

There are 28 Darts still in service across all East depots according to the latest fleetcard and some other Stagecoach companies have already sold off newer Darts than any Stagecoach East depot have so I would think a bid for MMC's next year would be justified.

Think the MANs are finished, once Kings Lynn depot closed they were all instantly withdrawn however after a week a handful were reinstated, but that would only be temporary measure to though

22337 is also still pounding the streets of Peterborough. It was on the Citi 1 route.

As these 2 doubles were running out of there comfort zone, 34471 was also out of its comfort zone as it was on Citi 1 towards Werrington. 37213 was also out and about running the Citi 6 route.
