Decker Bus was running the free shuttle from Peterborough Station to the Showground for the model railway festival today; J852CEV (newly painted), P492MBY (newly painted) and some ex Stagecoach Scania thing with a bogus reg plate 4338VX or something similar.

In what way Bogus? They didnt just pluck numbers out of thin air and put them onto some platic and screw it on the front of the bus!!

Oh, and FYI its 4388 WX formerly F112HNC with Mayne.

J852CEV and P492MBY have been painted since September, the only thing new on them have been the additions of the Decker Bus logo to the rear of the vehicles.

Bogus because that isn't the registration it started with! I did warn you I wasn't paying attention to it; I saw it was a Scania and that was the extent of interest in it. Think that was the first public airing (barring skool kids) for either Olympian in Decker Bus livery, shame they cannot manage anything better than a small logo front and rear for them, it would break up all that dayglo lime a bit if the bodyside had something on it!

DAF/Ikarus P725BPR was towed in from Newport this afternoon, in shabby Veolia White livery.

This operator’s website
makes reference to a “Party bus” for the festive season, was this a specific vehicle?

None now, these left the fleet early on after they came from Alec Head, Lutton.

E333MSG, brough from Ensign ex Lothian, as a replacement for the Atlantean.
As a matter of interest (to me at least) the Atlantean was also ex Lothian, would these two (JSX and E333MSG) have ever worked side by side with Lothian??
