Anglianbus new arrivals...
« on: April 05, 2011, 06:26:43 PM »
The first of 8 new buses (5x Scania Omnilink, 3x Optare Versa) has arrived at Anglianbus.

Scania Omnilink YT11LVE has been noted in service on 601's for the last two days - it does not appear to carry any fleetnumber at present.

Thanks to Roy/Martin on EAB Yahoo group for the info

I didn't know Anglian had obtained more Scanias. I wonder what these will be used on.

Another question that springs to mind, is are these new vehicles replacing anything, if they are does anybody know which ones?

New Scanias replacing the 5 Older Scanias (R-EMB ones)

New Versas replacing the 2 AU07 Solos i believe (or least they were advertised for sale)

I didn't realise some of the mid-life Scania's were on the way out... GFY is now with Fishers Tours (Cosgrove, Dundee)... entered service at 12.15 on Thursday 29th October.

Was that the one that was still running around in Menzies colours, whilst all the others were repainted?

IIRC GFY was on a stop gap.

That was one of the ones; the other was YS03ZKU. As Jamie said these were loans, from Mistral, until the lampposts, Versas and Scanias turned up
