MAN gas bus on loan?
« on: December 10, 2011, 02:56:04 PM »
Anglian appear to be operating a brand new MAN EcoCity demonstrator, which runs on gas. I saw this pull into Lowestoft bus station at around 12:25 today on the 525, and it left a few minutes later. Unfortunately, I didn't get the whole of the registration plate (damned post September 2001 registration plates!  >:(), but it was a 61 plate. Does anyone else know anything, or how long Anglian have this on loan?

I've just returned from riding on the vehicle from the Bus Station to Pakefield on service 601. Have to be impressed afterall it's brand new, enginewise it's just a whine in the background, the seating is much more comfortable than the Scania seats, highback too, the product is typical German in that you fell every bump in the road. When I got off I asked the driver if he liked it , and got an enthusiastic "it's lovely", I said so you'll be buying some, he said "hope so".
