This is a new format of note pages, for general day-to-day sightings, run-of-the-mill daily observations, and even the more unusual strays spotted in daily operation.

Open up a separate thread for service changes, and major announcements (i.e. PI callings, new ownership, cessation of operations, that kind of thing!)

This thread shall continue throughout 2012, but Admins reserve the right to cut one and start again if there are more than 250 postings in one particular thread, or if there is an argument or serious off-topic problems etc.

Enjoy!

I went to the Vintage bus day yesterday.  Well worth a visit if you like ex-LT vehicles and the top deck view over the Dartford bridge is great.  They were running a 1937 Leyland Cub for short trips as well as an ex- Eastern National MW coach on the Lakeside - Upminster run.

The 22 has now been taken by Volvo/Wright hybrids (Electric Blue 22) and the new to Ensign East Lancs/Optare Volvos (including the ex Sanders bus) are now branded for the X! to Basildon. Almost all the rest of the services seem to be using ex-London ALX400s except the 44 which is still single deck.

For model bus collectors, the enquiry office at Lakeside is selling the new Northcord model of one of their ALX400s for £35.
