Although Go-Ahead generally are a great company, its a shame to see yet another independent go!

Will be interesting to see if Go-Ahead will be keen to compete with First in Lowestoft/Gt. Yarmouth.

With GoAhead now owning Anglian Bus and KonnectBus, expect the sparks to fly!

I wonder if they're still looking for more acquisitions... and if Norfolk Green could ever be for sale...

I suspect that Norfolk Green are subject to constant approaches.

I think it's First Norfolk & Suffolk who are likely to be caught in a pincer movemenent.

Incidentally, how have we managed to have two competing threads on the same issue?

How many threads do we need for this subject?

Enough to over-run FEC?

If you look at the times of both threads initial posts they were both posted at virtually the same time (one on the Anglianbus board and one on the Go Ahead board)

I have merged the threads into one here on the Anglianbus board to save any more double posting or confusion.

Thanks, Andy. Fun whilst it lasted, though.

Of course, the real fun is still to come, as GoAhead enter on FEC's 'territory'.

It's somewhat sad to see Anglian lose it's independant status, but Go-Ahead will do them go. If I were FEC, I'd be worried. Very worried indeed...

Oops, I think you quoted when you meant to edit out a typo!

But I do agree; FEC have lost out to Norfolk Green, KonnectBus, Anglian, Saunders, anyone with two ha'pence to invest in an old banger (and many with much better vehicles) in Bury St Edmund's...

A select few have managed it, but it would be hard to be worse than First.
