Ensign Coach
« on: January 23, 2014, 08:12:28 PM »
Seen tonight going around Trafalgar Square was Ensign's ex Stagecoach articulated coach P563MSX in full Ensignbus livery, I think it had C2C lettering on the sides so presumably a rail replacement vehicle. Not sure if it was to help provide emergency rail replacement after the Victoria Line signalling failure incident earlier today.

Yes, it was for emergency rail replacement on the Victoria, apparently following a concrete flood (!!) of a signalling room.

I wonder how Boris will feel knowing a Bendy was in central London?  ;D

I think 2 of them will be out on rail replacement between Upminster and Basildon on Saturday and Sunday (25/26th).

If all goes to plan, they should be working an hour apart starting with the 0728 from Upminster and finishing at 2030 and 2100 in Basildon on Saturday.  ON Sunday, they start with the 0740 and 0810 from Basildon finishing at about 2030.

Well until recently, there were still bendis coming in on the MegaSleeper S11, which has become part of Megabus Gold. The bendis can still be used (or were initially) as spares.

The two Je-bodied bendis are no strangers to London, as they started in 2004 with the Glasgow-Manchester-London M11 service. Before that they were used for Bus Points tours to Paris and London at weekends back in the late 90's. Before that, there was also the time one was unsuccessfully tried on the Oxford Tube.
