Probably been mentioned before but the ex busway buses that operate out of Ely appear to have the guided bus wheels removed

I am fairly sure the guidewheels were removed once they were transferred to Cambridge, as they wouldn't be required.
However the mounting points remain in the event any need to be loaned to Fenstanton depot as cover for any of the current Busway fleet.

Wonder why?  Cambridge usually gets brand-new vehicles and any cascades within its own fleet.

Is this a temporary cover for a specific shortage?

I believe there were two or three ex-London Tridents based at Cambridge for a building site contract near Addenbrookes Hospital. I don't know if the contract still runs, but the Tridents do see use on regular services if the need arises!

The ex London Tridents were aquired for the Skanska contract running between a site on Addenbrookes and Trumpington Park and Ride in the morning and evenings...

The plan used to be 3 were used in the morning and then 2 in the afternoon, however as mentioned above they can a do get used on citi work and prevoius on a short 9 to Waterbeach on the old timetables before they were changed in September as i have pics of them in Waterbeach outside my house.

Took this photo of LX51FMC yesterday. On the other side of the road Y452NHK was parked, but couldn't get a decent picture due to strong sunlight. I have managed to make this more presentable now.

Interestingly enough there was another "Gold" working Citi 1 today. Is there currently a spare "Gold" as its half term?

The IVC 206 run to Arbury/Chesterton with Enviro 400 Gold is part of a Haverhill duty, as the bus runs light to D/St after dropping the schoolkids.

Not so, I'm afraid !!!! Its on Demo for suitability around Cambridge !! As it was already fitted with Busway Guidewheel brackets, they decided to use it at Fenstanton. !!

According to local news reports, services 30 (Huntingdon-Ramsey) and 35 (Huntingdon-Chatteris-March) have been 'saved'.

Cambs CC have agreed funding until August 2018. Whether this means Stagecoach will continue or another operator
will step in, is not clear.

There has been a real mix of vehicles on the Citi2 these last two days including a Gold, ex busway Volvos & Scania's plus Eviro400's as well.

What I would like to say to Andy Campbell is, “How about putting that bio gas fuels vehicle on the citi  2 –  to help reduce pollution along Mill Road – rather than out in the countryside on the busway.“

By the sounds of it I am guessing Stagecoach will run them until August when they will have a better indication of what they are going to do

Indeed - having submitted service cancellations to the Traffic Commissioners (or whatever the current name is), Stagecoach have now submitted an application to run "new" services to cope with the (non-)cancellation. Since neither the 30 nor the 35 features in an extensive list of service alterations for January that Stagecoach have posted on their website, it's reasonable to assume that the timetable continues unchanged as well.
