Many thanks, Nathan, to you and all who organised a really superb day!

And well done to all who help to promote it through the news media. I would have forgotten about the event had I not heard about it on Charlie Thompson's programme on BBC RadioCambridgeshire.

I've now posted a link to some photos.

Edit: Typo and link.

For me, this smartly turned-out vehicle was the star of the show.

Edit: added details from programme.

If you'd like to see my photos of the event, you can view them in Richard's Fenland Bus Fest 2017 iCloud album.

For details of the vehicles, see the official Fenland Bus Fest entry list.

Thanks to all the volunteers who made the day such a success, especially the preservationists, drivers, Nathan and the organisers, and also the 'clippie' who posed for a photo.

The last two photos are of Whittlesea* station's semaphore signaling.

Feel free to download and/or re-use any of my photos for any non-commercial purpose. (I'm not sure how long I'll be able to leave them on iCloud, it depends on how much storage I have.) An acknowledgment would be good if you post/display any of them.

* Yes the town is Whittlesey.

Well done Nathan,

It was another brilliant event.  H303CAV performed really well - even though it was fully laden to & from Ramsey. The Trent Atlantean was certainly worth seeing and travelling on, and nice to see some 1st generation full size low floors in preservation now.  I was gutted to miss out on F509NJE though - before that got delivered to PBO it spent a little while on loan to Cambridge, where I remember it new.  Great to see so many vehicles from Yorkshire too.   I must say I was really pleased to read the event had been mentioned on Radio Cambridgeshire, that might just explain the many many people that were there, it helped the day go with a swing.  Thought the Alexander Strider looked really good in Yorkshire Rider colours, and I was pleased to be able to photograph the vehicle I missed last year - the Black Prince Optare Prisma.   I'll be back I am fairly sure of that , well done to you and the team Nathan :):)  ;D

Totally agree, Chris. I too was very pleased to see, and travel on, the Trent Atlantean, along with Eastern Counties LM452, the ex Cambus Olympian, London Transport RMF1254, Fowlers East Lancs bodied Scania N113 and Southern Vectis open top Olympian. Was disappointed ex Whippet VAV160X did not make it.
