Bury St. Edmunds Christmas Fayre
« on: November 21, 2017, 05:46:28 pm »
The annual Bury St. Edmunds Christmas Fayre will be held this coming weekend which usually draws quite a lot of visitors.

Mulleys will be covering the Park and Ride again this year. In the past they have also used vehicles loaned from Beestons but this year this has not been the case.

There are usually quite a number of coaches visiting the Fayre (mainly on the Saturday and Sunday) not only by East Anglian operators but also some from further afield. Last year these included Harry Shaw of Coventry and Arriva the Shires. When they set down on Honey Hill they then went to park up at the lorry park on Rougham Hill.

Just an update.

The Christmas Fayre continues today. Yesterday was busy and some reports are that Ram Meadow car park was full by 0900.

The Park and Ride shuttle was busy. Mulleys covered the work will all its own buses (now all with fleetnames). In the past they have also used vehicles loaned from Beestons but this year this has not been the case.

I was out and about for an hour or so around Honey Hill where the visiting excursion coaches were unloading. I saw quite a number of coaches there so didn't bother going up to the lorry park at Rougham Hill this time.

The furthest travelled coaches I saw were from Ogden's Travel of St. Helens and Chandlers Coaches of Westbury, Wiltshire.

I have already added my photographs of the Mulleys buses together with the first of the coaches. Over the next few days I will be adding some more.
