New Buses
« on: December 18, 2017, 04:28:50 PM »
Came across 6 new ADL E400MMC parked on an industrial estate in Crowland (Lincolnshire) today after
a tip off from a friend.

They are for Go Ahead in London and the 3 at the front are
EH175,172 and176  (YY67URC/UPZ/URE)

The number plates are partially greyed out indicating that they may not yet be
taxed etc.

Trawling the internet, a picture of them has been posted on Flickr by Adam Marlow dated December 15th.

Passing through Crowland, there are now around 20 new EH class parked on the premises of  Crowland Cranes - Possibly
for a new tender award not yet started? Any ideas?

Could be this

https://www.goaheadlondon.com/news/post/latest-tender-results

Thanks for that, this led me to another website which give full details of all
London bus routes and from the list on the above website it appears that routes
77/87/171 are all due new hybrid E40H.

There are 140 EH on order for Go-Ahead London in total at the moment (for various tenders) as well as a much smaller batch of WHVs. These are the first of that large batch, which as I recall aren't necessarily needed until tender start dates in February.

Go South Coast have announced orders for 32 new buses for Southampton Unilink, other than stating that they will be Euro 6, make and type are not mentioned.
Presumably they replace the existing E400s/Volvo B7RLE/Scania N94 one for one.(As they are only respectively '63 reg, 63/64reg & '58 reg, they would be good to cascade somewhere in Group, unless they are leased?)

Apparently most, if not all, will be cascaded (Thamesdown is apparently a likely recipient of some of the E400s).
