Had a couple of hours out today

36011 and 3606x on citi1

10875 on 21

22333 on citi2/3, was my bus home. It seemed lacking in power, more than usual, but then it did have a trainee driving.

Not unusual to get 1 MAN on citi 2/3 but we had 3 today all in Peterborough Bus Station at 10.00, 22329/331/and 333.

108xx seen on citi 5, 36 and 37.

Citi 4 has a diversion as Alderman's Drive is closed and the buses go further along Thorpe Road and up Westwood Park Road. Can't go down with the residents of these expensive houses.

Noticed that. P!us the 46 is being changed and thats currently only 2 journeys per day.

The 21 was an odd commercial decision. Unsure if Amazon provided information on where staff live but it could have been a little more of a success if it maybe started at Park Farm and routed via Cardea/ Hampton. There must be Amazon workers there? Or provide the early/ late service to/ from station.

Amazon subsidised it, they were unhappy with the timekeeping whilst slavecoach were saying nobody was using it

As far as I know there was no contract with Amazon, it was operated on a purely commercial basis

One of the main guys at Amazon uses that service in the evening, he records when every bus arrives and departs,

Seems a big culling of bus services, there will be a lot of towns left without a bus, can see there will be a lot of aggro from this

It does look like all Peterborough services are changing. Wonder if its something like a change in bays at Queensgate? Guess we will find out soon.

Aren't there some major long-term roadworks about to start in the city centre that are expected to cause major disruptions to services? (right after they finished the last set).  I'm sure I have seen some critical comment about something happening so soon after the last set finished.  Could be Stagecoach trying to pre-empt the expected delays to this.

Roadworks have already started and scheduled to continue until July. There have
already been reports of severe delays and some cancellations of services.

This link may explain.

Could any of the changes maybe be linked with the closure of Kings Lynn depot more specifically to the 36 and 37.....??

I believe the changes are separate from King's Lynn closure issues and could be a tidying up of running times. There has been a lot of tinkering with individual timetables over recent years but nothing network-wide as far as I can recall
