Long Sutton does have its own allocation as vehicles there are registered to Now West Travel and operate on the Go West Travel operators licence. Because Peterborough do the maintenance then interworking does take place but where this happens vehicles should display 'On hire to' notices.

Unsure of exactly how many but was on 36065 today on the 2/3 run and in the window was a handwritten sign stating that the bus was 'On Hire To Go West'

Citi Enviro 400 MMC operated a Spalding to Kings Lynn 505 service this evening

It appears that inter-working of Long Sutton and Peterborough based vehicles
is taking place on a regular basis, with one of the 183xx (AE55etc) tridents being seen on local services
in Peterborough and Trident 18420, Dart 34549, and one other in the 360xx range all on
services radiating out of Kings Lynn.

This is another re-post, so don't be alarmed if you have already read
something similar.

So Long Sutton doesn't have an allocation of buses then, the ones that are parked overnight are those that just happen to end up there after a day's work

Strange the 505 still come under Go West and not Cambus, with the on hire notices in and out of the windows

Yes the ex Stagecoach in Norfolk services are registered under Go West Travel but the website legal  saying Go West Travel is trading as Stagecoach in Peterborough.
Allocation is very varied with  at least one E400 MMC appearing on the 505 for several days.

Just got home on citi 3 which was being served by 10875. Driver change at Queensgate and the new driver asked the departing driver why he's got this bus. The driver stated that he was supposed to have the single decker with the crack in the screen but he refused to drive it.

The single decker in question is 37213 (SN64 OKL) and has had the crack for almost a year.   :-\

Lot of rumblings etc in the local press/Facebook about Stagecoach failing to fulfill the 505 timetable.
Complaints of buses not turning up quite often.

I happened to notice today that 35104 has had it's 'BEDFORD BUS' branding removed, so im guessing Peterborough is its new home.

A bit of a weird day with Peterborough buses today.   ??? :-[

Single deckers 34880, 34773, 34878, 35104 and 35186 were all serving the Citi 1 today.

10873 was in use as a 2/3

10881 was on the dogsthorpe-cardea citi 5 route.

For the last few weeks, there has been a steady increase in single deckers serving the Citi 1 routes with at least 3 a day being spotted.

Also there has been several instances of double deckers being used on the citi 2/3/4/5 routes.

34421 seems to have relinquished it's training duties, was seen today on either the 4 or 5 guessing by the bay it was in.

X4 35224 worked the 11.05 from Peterborough followed by 15607 on the 11.35. The next service was an unidentified Gold e400.

34426 still showing Bedford Bus branding is active on citi services most days when I am around town.

Also, at least one of the batch of 19693-19697 (originally Peterborough, then KL and now Long Sutton) can be seen regularly
on any Peterborough services and one
day last week there were 3 of this batch on either citi or country services.

I feel sorry for Peterborough having to put up with 34426 (KV53EZC). It was the worst of the 53 reg darts at Bedford. The Engine sounded awful and It liked overheating and dumped its coolant on the A6 when on the 81 a couple of times

The difference is Peterborough know how to fix a bus unlike Bedford
Kind regards

Sadly Bedford's standards have slipped in recent years. They used to be very good especially in the days of the Leyland Olympians. They used to keep them all looking and sounding very good. These days you see buses out of service for weeks on end and the depot having to get loans in from other depots

18420 was running the 2/3 route today. At 2pm it developed a problem where the bell light was not lighting up in the drivers cab, leading to several missed stops and a few irate passengers. A quick repair at paston centre and the problem was sorted within half hour.

10870 was running the Dogsthorpe/Cardea leg of the 5 route.

Stagecoach give an allowance for bus maintenance, so much a week or month, in other words there is a kitty, Kings Lynn used to suffer badly, think it was £1000 week or could have been a month, its easier to let them break down and let Charlie's collect them at the side of the road and do the repair themselves as it comes out of another pot

Its not so much a problem in Cambridge or Peterborough as most buses are relatively new, in the case of Kings Lynn and Bedford they are all knackered 2nd hand buses

34426, which has been operating from Peterborough following transfer last month from Bedford is registered to Go West Travel and is, therefore an allocated Long Sutton vehicle.

Former King’s Lynn Trident 18346 is confirmed as now being part of the Peterborough fleet, having previously been registered on the Go West Travel Listings

I don't know at the moment. It was parked up at Queensgate.
