Ipswich Buses update.
« on: April 03, 2018, 09:15:23 PM »
Ipswich Borough Transport has recently taken delivery of a batch of secondhand 61-reg Scania Omnicity double deckers which were purchased through Ensignbus & were ex-Metroline (London), but originally First London. The intial batch was of 14, but this has recently been increased by 4 to make 18 ! They are reciving attention at Hants & Dorset Trim, Eastleigh, with removal of central door & a repaint into the new Ipswich livery, to H41/26F configuration.

The batch is numbered 30-47 and are registered YR61RPV/Y,RRU/V,RSV,RTV,RUC/H/U/V/W,RVF/J/L,RRZ,RVE, with new arrivals RPX,RVA either 46 or 47 (tbc).

Please note, that if you go to Ipswich that these vehicles are used on both Town routes & the Country routes, so use both Tower Ramparts & The Old Cattle Market Bus Stations. Also of note is that 44/5 are being used still in L/T Red & maybe 46/7 are now, until they get sent away for Refurb.
