dwarfer1979  -  the Euro6 Cummins ISB6 six-cylinder engine in the ADL Enviro 400MMC is a 6.7 litre unit producing 250 bhp, whereas the equivalent Scania engine is a 9.3 litre five-cylinder motor, also producing 250 bhp. I believe there is some collaboration between the two companies on current engine design, but I don't think it applies to these.

The Scania DC07 is a Cummins designed engine of 6.7 litres - presumably the same design as fitted to the ADL E400s but all the Scania passenger chassis seem to be fitted with the DC09 9 litre 5 cylinder engine.  Scania seem to only recommend the DC07 for fairly lightweight truck applications.

15401 is the first of the batch to be repainted into corporate livery. 15402-05 to follow which will bring to an end the Corby Star livery and branding on operational vehicles. The Corby Star branding was first introduced in 2004.

I'm surprised that they're painting these given their age and that they're non standard for Stagecoach. Just a little nitpick, Corby star branding was actually introduced in 2003 with a batch of Optare Solo's

Why would you be surprised? Age has nothing to do with it. Stagecoach still operates 2001 era deckers in Leamington. the Scania's are our most reliable buses in Stagecoach Midland's. They all still have there original engines/gearboxes compared to the Tridents where their engines have been replaced.

The Scania Omnidekka is hugely popular and loved by the driver's and our engineering team. We have no plan's to dispose of them for many years to come.

Chesterfield are withdrawing their 54 plate Scania Omnidekkas  which is why I found it surprsing and the fact that Tridents of similar age are starting to be being withdrawn across the country. Those Leamington Tridents are ex London and are amongst the oldest nationally.

Judging by your post I take that you are a Stagecoach Employee in which case you will have better knowledge about the fleet than an enthusiast like me
